The Weber Cup

... is named after the American bowler Richard Anthony ('Dick') Weber (1929–2005). A founding member of the Professional Bowlers Association in 1958, Weber is widely regarded (according to Wikipedia) as "professional bowling's first superstar" – along with his contemporary Don Carter (1926–2012).

Also according to Wikipedia, the competition "is currently broadcast live from start to finish on Sky Sports in the UK and in many other international channels around the world."

After the 2019 tournament, the two teams were tied with ten wins each. The USA won the 2020 event to lead 11–10.

The first tournament (in the year 2000) was held in Warsaw, the second (2001) in Dagenham, and the third (2002) in Sheffield. The 2003 and 2004 events were played somewhere in Greater Manchester (Wikipedia doesn't elaborate further), and from 2005 to 2015 it was played in Barnsley. After visiting Greater Manchester again in 2016, Barnsley again in 2017 and Milton Keynes in 2018, in 2019 it was held in the USA for the first time as Las Vegas hosted. The 2020 event was played in Coventry.
